Our Mission
Welcome to Covington Colts Theatre! Our mission is to inspire, nurture, challenge, amaze, educate and empower artists and audiences, in order to make Covington Middle School Fine Arts Academy a more conscious and compassionate community. We are so excited to have you with us! We have lots of amazing shows and events planned for throughout the year, so be sure to check back often for updates!
Meet Our Director
ERICA VALLEJO
Ms. Vallejo is joining us here at Covington in her 11th year of teaching in Austin ISD. She graduated from Texas State University with her Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Theatre Education. While at Covington she has served on the CP&I Cadre, SEL Cadre, the Principal Selection Committee and was a 2023 Teacher of the Year finalist. She currently serves as the Theatre Middle School Fine Arts Facilitator for AISD. She has over 20 years of acting and directing experience and is excited to continue the excellent work here at Covington! Some of her hobbies include reading, working on her screenplay, pilates, taking frequent trips to Target, and rooting for her favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys!
